Showcase

Allow me to show you a few beads, if you please … here are a pair of what I call "wave" beads.

The melting, molten glass is so awesome, so amazing. For those of you who have never sat down at a torch to play with melting glass, who've never experienced the magic — these are for you.

These are "dragon toys" — the sort of bauble that a dragon might play with, carry around, fiddle with in his claws while waiting for a bus … or knight.

"Never meddle in the affairs of Dragons - for thou art crunchy and taste good with ketchup."

Let's get Sculptural! Horses … and a big thank-you to Kathy Johnson for sharing her techniques.

(This is the same horse, on the gridded background he is shown "post-repair" - his mane got broken getting him off the mandrel and so I had to warm him back up and fix it.)

Turtle-onna-Rock. This started as a tribute to a friend, snowballed from there. (Can turtles snowball?)

Meet the Shiva Bug - named for the Hindu goddess of destruction.

And Spirit of the Dance. The "shadows" in the limbs are striking, don't you think?

These are WOWs - Waves of Wonder - made from Dichroic glass.

These are some of my large dichroic beads. The one on the left is "the original end of day" and the one on the right is "w00t!" - w00t! is about 4 cm long x 4 cm across x 2 cm thick and weighs in at over 60 grams. (1.5 x 1.5 x .75 inches and over 2 ounces.)

And, I've been known to make the occasional traditionally shaped bead as well.
